WingsUp!, Canada's fastest growing Canadian chicken wing franchise announced today the opening of its newest franchised location in Orillia, marking the company’s first location in Orillia, and 15th in Ontario. 

Located at 380 Memorial Ave., the restaurant will celebrate its opening with a friends and family event on Aug. 8. The restaurant will open to the public on Aug. 9 at 11 a.m.

The new restaurant is owned and operated by Pragnesh Patel, and his partner Krunal Patel, who are veterans in the food industry, and are a part of the Orillia community. They were eager to join the brand based on the WingsUp! concept of primarily focusing on delivery and takeout, and serving only fresh, never frozen chicken wings.

“We are excited to serve fresh, never frozen chicken products to our guests, as we know fresh chicken is a rarity in the marketplace,” says Krunal Patel. “As well, we’re looking forward to providing delivery service so our guests can enjoy delicious comfort food, from the comfort of their home.”

At WingsUp! all of their chicken products (wings, boneless bites, and sandwiches) are made with fresh, never frozen chicken. 

Each order is hand breaded, has no fillers, and is made fresh to order. All of their chicken is also sourced from Canada. They also continue to offer a free delivery promotion at all of their locations, which will also be offered in Orillia. 

Pragnesh and Krunal were eager to get their own WingsUp! location and bring it to the Sunshine City.

The expansion into Orillia is part of the brand's overall franchise development plans for this year, with a goal of opening 12+ additional restaurants by the end of 2021, and 16-20 more by the end of 2022. 

“I’m very excited with the opening of the new Orillia location,” says WingsUp! President Darren Czarnogorski. “We are expanding into many towns across Ontario that are similar to Orillia. Over the next two years, we plan to have 40-plus stores throughout Ontario, then our goal is to expand into Alberta and even the US. We believe there is an appetite for our food in many locations across Canada and in the States.”
